September 2005 just before the VSE DT-T at Happ's in Ethel, WA I had a lesson with Marsoe. At my first full combined driving event the year before we quite by accident camped next to him. He was driving a 4-in-hand that weekend with full size bay horses that towered over my two. Even though he had much to do to get his own hitch ready he and his grooms were friendly and helpful to this newbe with the little red and white pintos next door. |
I suppose I leave each lesson with the feeling that this person right here and now has all the answers to my problems. I know the problems are mine because when the clinician steps up to drive, my guys settle right down and do everything asked of them just like it is old hat. Marsoe was very insightful and showed me not only how to correctly communicate but also what to watch for and anticipate behavior; to help me be pro-active instead of re-active. |
